5. The Editor by Steven Rowley

Imagine being a writer and being given the biggest break by one of the most influential women in history, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

That’s the premise of The Editor, a story of a New York writer named James, who, in the 1990s sells his novel to an editor who just happens to be Mrs. Onassis. What a break! Investigating these societies can be dangerous, as their members practice occult activities and will one day become the rich and powerful rule-makers of the world.
