5. The Editor by Steven Rowley

Imagine being a writer and being given the biggest break by one of the most influential women in history, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

That’s the premise of The Editor, a story of a New York writer named James, who, in the 1990s sells his novel to an editor who just happens to be Mrs. Onassis. What a break! The only problem is that this book is semi-autobiographical and exposes the dysfunction of his family. Publishing the book could end many, if not all, of his familial relationships.

Investigating these societies can be dangerous, as their members practice occult activities and will one day become the rich and powerful rule-makers of the world.
